ABOUT US

Welcome
At Oakland Childcare Centre, we believe that every child deserves a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where they can grow, explore, and thrive. Located in the heart of Oakland, Ontario, our centre is committed to supporting young children during the most important years of their development.
We offer high-quality early learning experiences rooted in play-based exploration, creativity, and meaningful connections. Our dedicated educators work collaboratively with families to provide consistent, caring, and responsive interactions that foster each child’s sense of belonging and well-being.
We are a soon to be licensed childcare centre under the Ministry of Education, offering high-quality, play-based programming for:
• 10 toddlers
• 16 preschoolers
• 13 after-school children
• A half-day program for children 44 months to 5-year-olds, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
OUR MISSIONTo provide a warm and inclusive space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn — supporting their development through intentional play, building relationships, and community partnerships.
To create environments that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a sense of belonging, while reflecting each child’s unique interests, identities, and developmental needs. Our educators build strong, respectful relationships and intentionally support children’s growth in all areas — social, emotional, cognitive, and physical.
OUR VALUES• Respect & Inclusion – Every child and family is welcomed, celebrated, and supported.
• Safety & Well-Being – We prioritize both emotional and physical safety in all aspects of our program, while thoughtfully encouraging risky play to support children’s confidence, resilience, and healthy development.
• Learning Through Play – We embrace the power of play as the foundation for lifelong learning.
• Partnership with Families – We believe families are a child’s first and most important teacher.
